Fase Orale explores the notion of intimacy through the bond between childhood friends (Me and Martina Gabrielli). The piece draws inspiration from the exploratory phase of childhood, where curiosity and discovery often manifest through the mouth, a primary means of experiencing the world. Here, the mouth symbolizes a gateway for external exploration and an intimate channel that taps into our primal instincts and vulnerabilities. Central to Fase Orale is the focus on carnality, sensory discovery, and the quest for intimacy. The performance unravels as the two dancers embark on an introspective journey, through a tactile exploration, smell, and lick. The physical closeness, shared breath, and the act of tasting and touching represent a return to the raw and primal need for connection. The process is a deeply physical one, emphasizing the body as both a vessel of experience and a bridge for emotional and empathetic connection. This journey into the body becomes an introspective journey, with each movement, gesture, and breath unveiling the layers of shared and individual experience.
